Cypriot drummer Stelios Xydias embarked on his musical journey at the age of 13, driven by a deep love for rhythm and melody. His path led him to Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Drums.
Since those formative years, Stelios Xydias has had the privilege of sharing his passion for music across Europe, performing in various venues and festivals. Along the way, he has had the honor of collaborating with esteemed artists such as Gilad Atzmon, Amos Hofman, Guthrie Govan, learning and growing with each experience.
Stelios remains dedicated to music education. He has devoted over a decade to teaching and leading workshops, aiming to inspire the next generation of musicians.
In the studio, he approaches each collaboration with a spirit of creativity, seeking to contribute to the collective artistic vision. He has recorded with bands Mighty Sugarcane-Atomic, Sonica-introducing, Cahit Kutrafali-Transitions and many more.
With sincerity and honesty, Stelios continues to embrace the beauty of music, striving to make meaningful connections through his artistry and craftsmanship.
